People ask us often, where the "C Squared" name comes from.  In 2009, when Wes set out to name the firm, he and his wife Gini had one child and one on the way... Hence the name!  Although the firm is actually named "C Squared Wealth Strategies", most people (including us) just say "C2 Wealth Strategies" or "C2" instead.

Getting Started

Joining the workforce for the first time can be overwhelming, we are here to make that transition as smooth as possible. While income and assets may not be massive, we'll review those because we believe in the potential and future growth. We also will coach our clients in how to live within their means, review their employee benefits, and be a sounding board for questions and concerns regarding debts such as student loans and large purchases such as a car or house. We believe in automated savings, so we'll walk through saving for emergencies, retirement, and even insurance coverage. 

Marriage

What to do after "I do"? Typically with a new spouse comes asset growth, and the merging of two budgets. Just like with our clients just starting out, we will also remind our newlyweds what it means to live within your means and the implications that has for the future. We start with financial planning, decide if accounts will be joined or kept separate, discuss the realistic costs of having a family, and we'll review the assets and liabilities associated with both spouses.

Children are undoubtedly a blessing, but we want to help you plan for them. Our first step is to set a savings plan for their college at birth. Wes is responsible for the overall growth, profitability, and strategic direction for C2 Wealth Strategies.  He founded C2 Wealth Strategies with the vision of creating an unique client experience through holistic financial planning.  Wes believes that, relationships are important and with clear communication, we are able to establish true expectations on the steps that needed to reach one's goals.  Once communication and expectations are relayed, we go to work to help our clients reach their ultimate destination .   

Wes began his financial planning career with MassMutual Financial Group in Birmingham, Alabama.  After relocating to the Alabama Gulf Coast over 15 years ago, he decided to start a firm where he could dedicate himself to offering unbiased professional guidance to his clients.  Wes helps individuals with their financial planning needs which includes investment management, risk management, tax and estate planning strategies.  He also works with corporations to help design, implement and service their employee benefit and retirement plan needs. 

 Wes received his B.A. degree from Auburn University in 2004.  Wes is an investment advisor representative (IAR) of Voya Financial Advisors, Inc. and has obtained the professional designations of AIF (Accredited Investment Fiduciary) and CFS (Certified Fund Specialist).  

Wes has been married for fourteen years to his wife, Gini, and they reside in Fairhope.  They have three children: Turner(11), Berkley(9), and Elle(7). Wes is the treasurer of the Augusta Evans School Foundation, a board member of the Development Council of USA Children's and Women's Hospital, and a 2018 graduate Emerging Leaders Mobile sponsored by the Small Business Administration (SBA).  Wes and his family are active members of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fairhope.  In  his free time, Wes enjoys golf, hunting and entertaining his active family.

Joe earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from the University of Alabama.  Before moving on to the University of Alabama, he earned an Associate's Degree as a paralegal from Faulkner State Community College.  Shortly after graduation in January  2010 he began his career as a financial advisor at C2 Wealth Strategies.  He believes that effective planning is not an event, but rather a process which fosters a meaningful and long-term trusted advisor relationship that he seeks with every client.  Joe is an Investment Advisor Representative (FINRA Series 66, Series 7) with Voya Financial Advisors, Inc.

 Joe serves as director of operations for C2 Wealth Strategies in addition to providing investment advisory and asset management strategy services to clients.  In addition to being a Sr. Financial Advisor at C2 Wealth Strategies, he also provides social security strategies and education funding planning to the firm's clients.

 Joe and his wife Hannah are Natives to the Mobile area.  They currently live in Saraland with their two daughters, Anne Michael and Emerein.  The Lomax family are members of Redemption Church and Joe is a board member of the Greater Gulf State Fair.

Joseph began his financial planning career with New York Life in 2011 and served as a financial professional for several years prior to making partner in the Mobile, AL general office.  In 2016, he joined MassMutual Financial Group and co-managed the Mobile, AL branch while also serving his clients as a financial professional.

 Joseph joined the C2 family in January 2019 and finds passion in all things technological.  He believes that the best client service is all about the details and that effectively utilizing technology is integral to the firm's mission.  He serves as director of technology in addition to his role as financial advisor to the firms' clients.  Joseph earned his CRPS (Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist) designation by completing a program with the College for Financial Planning and has passed investment registration exams through FINRA for the Series 6, 63, and 65.  Joseph is an Investment Advisor Representative of Voya Financial Advisors, Inc.

Joseph is married to Casey Turlington and has one son, Eli.  They are active members of Dayspring Baptist Church in Mobile, AL.  Joseph plays guitar and sings in rotation with Dayspring's worship band and also at some local restaurants in his spare time.

Mike joined C2 Wealth Strategies in early 2017.  Mike is a partner in C2 Insurance Group, LLC and is responsible for the overall sales and marketing strategy for CInsurance.  He has been in the insurance profession for 14 years and joins us from Aflac where he served as district manager.  He is certified to offer medicare and employee benefit plans.  He specializes in life, short term disability, long term disability, vision, dental and long term care insurance.

Chase joined C2 Wealth Strategies in early 2019, working in the role of risk management advisor working closely with Mike Maskill  in the area of employee benefits.  He joined the military in 2010 and served 8 years as a CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiation, Nuclear, High Yield Explosion) Specialist. He is certified in several areas of Information Technology(IT), as per his experience in the military. 

He was born in England, to a British-American household, and moved to the United States at a young age.  After moving around several times, his father retired in Ocean Springs, MS where Chase calls home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  In 2010 he joined the military and served his county until 2018.  Chase has spent some of his career with fortune 100 companies New York Life and MassMutual.  An entrepreneur at heart, Chase has started or assisted in starting several businesses and continues to work hard building on his relationships and serving his clients and community.  In his spare time Chase enjoys to fish, play guitar (and bass guitar) and spending time with friends and family.

Greg is a lifelong Mobilian and a graduate of The University of South Alabama.  He has two teenagers, Gregory, Jr. and Liz,.  and enjoys fishing, hunting, and golf.  He is an award-winning State farm Agent with over 12 years’ experience assisting individuals, families, and business owners.  As a second-generation agent, he follows the simple formula of protecting assets, incomes and retirement while building a legacy. He ensures that each client is protected from the unexpected, and the same time, provides the client with product choices and advise to achieve their dreams.

Discovery

The first and most important step is figuring out where you are and where you want to go. This is where together we’ll think outside of the box and build a framework for a game plan to get you to do all the things you’ve wanted to do.

Planning

Then, we plan. This step takes what we discover in step one and focuses on the details of how to make the suggested plan successful. The planning phase is where we figure out how to make your dream a reality.

Confirmation

Next, we make sure that we are on the same page.  It’s important that our clients agree on what they want their future to look like, agree on the plan to get them there, and agree to the accountability necessary to make sure that happens.

Management

After we are confident everyone is on the same page, management takes place. We consider all the issues such as risk, age, time, tax, etc. We choose the vehicles that are designed to get you to the destination agreed upon, and we begin the allocation process.

Monitoring

The last part of our process is where we give accountability, keep you on track, adjust for detours and change the plans if need be. We take this seriously as we know how much trust is invested.

What does it cost to do business with C2?  Well, just like in everything we do for our clients, we want to be flexible.  Because we believe that access to quality advice should be available to everyone, we will work with you to come up with the best pricing model to fit your unique situation.

We start with a customized Financial Plan to serve as the road map and guide our decisions along the way towards financial freedom and confidence.   Financial planning services include defining goals, gathering data, analyzing data, developing plan, presenting plan and implementing the plan.

 The plan is a “living document”, continually updated as life changes and leading us to the appropriate solutions and illustrating your progress every step of the way.  We can work on an hourly planning fee basis or flat fee as well if desired.

Level 1 $100/month ($1,200 Annual) Typically appropriate for young professionals, or those accumulating wealth. 
Level 2$200/month ($2,400 Annual) Typically appropriate for clients and business owners who require more in-depth planning due to evolving goals and changing life events.   
One and Donebill hourly or one time flat fee

The financial planning fees (fees) described above may increase or decrease depending upon the complexity of your individualized financial plan or the assets upon which your financial plan is based. Financial plans are sold pursuant to a Financial Planning Agreement (FPA) between Voya Financial Advisors, Inc. (VFA) and you, the client, pursuant to the terms and conditions contained therein. Please consult the fee listed on the FPA for the fee applicable to your financial plan. In the event of a discrepancy between the fees listed above and the fee listed on your FPA, the fee listed on your FPA will control.
